George has extensive public service and consulting experience in management and social policy development. He has held senior government executive/management positions with the Province of Newfoundland and Labrador and as Director of Child Welfare,
Executive Director of Family and Community Supports and Chair of the Child and Youth Strategy for the Province of Nova Scotia. George has been President of Savoury Consulting Ltd., Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada since 2013. Savoury Consulting Ltd is a consulting business, focused on helping leaders and organizations become more strategic and successful through the development of legislation, policies, programs, strategic planning, training, program/operational reviews, and human resources issues.

Since 2013, George has been doing consulting work from Atlantic Canada to the Territories, with governments and First Nations. Prior to starting Savoury Consulting, George’s career in government included significant management and executive experience. George also has an MSW in policy and management and is an active member of the Nova Scotia College of Social Workers (Private Practice). He is a member of the Child Welfare League of Canada and the First Nations Child and Caring Society. George has many years of consulting experience doing child welfare programs and policy reviews for governments/First
Nations and significant management/executive experience in government, developing policies, programs, legislation, resolving human resources and governance issues, and developing strategic plans. After doing program/policy reviews from Atlantic Canada to the Territories, with governments/First Nations since 2013, George has a solid track record of helping governments and First Nations Child and Family Services address policy, program, legislative and human resources issues. George has the knowledge and experience to help your program be successful.
