Ejiro David Agbaire is a project consultant with Wisdom2Action and is currently based in the traditional territories of the Wendat, the Haudenosaunee, and the Anishinaabe peoples, also known as Newmarket, Ontario.
David is passionate about community engagement, promoting anti-racism and anti-oppression, and reducing social inequality using participatory approaches.
Over the past 5 years, he has had the privilege of working in a variety of positions within the social service sector and has spearheaded a number of qualitative social science research projects and initiatives that involve populations living in vulnerable conditions such as isolated seniors, racialized students, and women living with low incomes.
He holds a Master of Arts Degree in Sociology and Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology with a minor in Psychology from the University of Ottawa. He is currently pursuing an LLB degree from the University of Birmingham in England.
In the spirit of reconciliation, Wisdom2Action acknowledges the land on which it was originally established as the traditional and unceded territory of the M’ikmaq, known as Mi’kmak’i (Nova Scotia). Our team is spread across Turtle Island (Canada) on the treaty lands of many First Nations. We recognize the people and the land in this way as part of our commitment to anti-oppression and decolonization. We are all treaty people.
