Evan Robins (she/her) is a Community Research Assistant with Wisdom2Action based in Nogojiwanong, on the traditional territory of the Michi Saagig Anishinaabeg.
In the capacity of her Wisdom2Action work, Evan hopes to bring transfeminine perspectives to research on Gender-Based Violence, as well as apply her journalistic experience in research and interviewing.
Evan is pursuing a Bachelor of Cultural Studies Hon. from Trent University, where she also writes for Arthur, Nogojiwanong’s independent student press. She writes about politics, media, and queerness in a style which blends academic and journalistic sensibilities.
In the spirit of reconciliation, Wisdom2Action acknowledges the land on which it was originally established as the traditional and unceded territory of the M’ikmaq, known as Mi’kmak’i (Nova Scotia). Our team is spread across Turtle Island (Canada) on the treaty lands of many First Nations. We recognize the people and the land in this way as part of our commitment to anti-oppression and decolonization. We are all treaty people.
