This event will take place on the traditional and unceded territory of the Mi’kmaq people.
This is a for-youth and by-youth event when you can share your views. Join Wisdom2Action and share what you think in a two-in-one youth engagement day on February 1 at the MacPhee Centre. This event is free of charge and includes lunch and snacks. For this event, we are welcoming young people between the ages of 12 and 25.
Part 1 – Gender Based Violence (10 am – Noon)
Wisdom2Action (https://www.wisdom2action.org/) is working on behalf of the Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC) to identify the priorities of young people, 2SLGBTQ+ youth in particular, aged 15-24, on the subject of gender-based violence.
As part of this project, we are organizing in-person consultations with young people in cities across Canada, alongside an online survey. The consultations and the survey will be used to inform the work of PHAC on Gender-Based Violence.
Part 2 – Intimate Partner Violence (1-4 pm)
Wisdom2Action is also working with the Student’s Commission to identify priorities on Intimate Partner Violence. Both discussions will be youth-led and facilitated.
