Gay Ottawa Volleyball (GOV) - Focus Groups

Gay Ottawa Volleyball (GOV) is a volunteer, non-profit volleyball league that mainly caters to 2SLGBTQ+ folks and allies within Ottawa. The league provides an inclusive and fun environment but also serves as a healthy social venue for the LGBTQ community.

Wisdom2Action is a 2SLGBTQ+ owned and operated social enterprise and consulting firm specializing in community engagement, creative facilitation, research and evaluation, and knowledge mobilization.

Wisdom2Action (W2A) has been selected by Gay Ottawa Volleyball (GOV) to conduct an equity, diversity, and inclusion review. Wisdom2Action will be consulting with racialized 2SLGBTQ+ members of sports leagues outside of GOV as well as members of GOV through 2-hour focus groups. The purpose of these focus groups is to understand what practices/recommendations existing in other organizations can be implemented within GOV.
