Jesse Clarke is a Wisdom2Action associate living and working in Tkaronto, on the traditional territory of many Indigenous nations including the Haudenosaunee, the Anishinaabe, the Wendat, and the Mississaugas of the Credit. Jesse Clarke has spent her career working to promote human rights, child rights, child protection and gender equality in Canada and around the world. She is a strong proponent of LGBTQ2S+ rights. She has managed many complex, multi-million dollar programs and funding portfolios in health and education. She spent 10 years working for the Canadian International Development Agency covering a range of files including human rights in Cuba, Haiti and China. For the past 10 years, she has worked for a variety of Canadian and international non-profits. Most recently, she was Director of Global Partnerships at Right To Play. Prior to this, she was Director of Government Partnerships for Pathways to Education Canada. She has a Masters’ Degree in Gender
and Development from the University of Sussex in the UK, and a Bachelors’ Degree in International Development from the University of Toronto.
In the spirit of reconciliation, Wisdom2Action acknowledges the land on which it was originally established as the traditional and unceded territory of the M’ikmaq, known as Mi’kmak’i (Nova Scotia). Our team is spread across Turtle Island (Canada) on the treaty lands of many First Nations.
