Wisdom2Action (W2A) is a progressive consulting firm and social enterprise focused on facilitating change and strengthening communities. We work with non-profit organizations, community health and social services and governmental bodies across Canada in the areas of community engagement, knowledge mobilization and research, diversity, equity and inclusion, creative facilitation, and more. We are committed to embedding community leadership and anti-oppression in every aspect of our work.
About The Project:
In 2020, Wisdom2Action undertook a community engagement initiative with Black youth and Black service providers to explore opportunities and identify recommendations to address anti-Black racism in social services. W2A is continuing to build on this work through a national research project to better understand the experiences of Black youth accessing community, health, and social services, and how access and service-use experience impacts Black youth mental health and resilience in Canada. The Project Coordinator will be tasked with overseeing and guiding this research initiative, which includes significant community engagement, outreach, research, and resource development components.
Wisdom2Action team members work remotely, in either home or personal office settings.
This position has been designated for individuals who identify as Black, Afro-Indigenous, Mixed-Race or otherwise impacted by anti-Black racism.
Wisdom2Action is committed to employment equity and encourages applications from individuals impacted by anti-Black racism, colonialism, sexism, ableism, homophobia, transphobia, and other forms of oppression. Self-identification by candidates is completely voluntary.
