W2A is working with the Nova Scotia College of Social Work (NSCSW) to lead stakeholder engagement (understanding the needs/issues of individuals impacted by the child welfare system) and develop a policy paper to address and recommend ways to improve the child welfare system in Nova Scotia.
As part of this project, W2A is looking for 8 young people (aged 18 – 24) with experiences in the Nova Scotia child welfare system but who are not currently in the system to join a Youth Advisory Council (YAC). If you have been involved in the child welfare system in Nova Scotia and want to be part of helping to improve it, this role is for you. The deadline to complete this application is April 1st, 2022.
This role will be entirely virtual and will take place in April and May. Honorariums of $20/hr will be provided for the role. This role will require up to 8 hours from each YAC member.
To continue with the application, please fill out the form on this page. Applicants chosen to move onto the next stage will be emailed the week of April 4th and interviews will be conducted that same week. If you have any further questions about this project and/or application please send an email with the subject line “NSCSW YAC” to email@example.com.
