In partnership with the Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives, Planned Parenthood Toronto, the Ontario Centre of Excellence for Child and Youth Mental Health, the Canadian Teachers Federation, the Child Welfare League of Canada and Action Canada for Sexual Health and Rights, Wisdom2Action is thrilled to launch two ground-breaking new resources on 2SLGBTQ+ inclusion in the youth-serving sector.
All organizations are at different stages in the journey towards 2SLGBTQ+ inclusion. None of us are perfect, but these resources can help us move forward in a way that does justice to the lives, experiences, wisdom and needs of 2SLGBTQ+ youth in our communities.
The first resource, our Call to Action on 2SLGBTQ+ Inclusion, articulates the standard all our organizations should strive towards to ensure 2SLGBTQ+ youth are meaningfully included at every level of our work.
The second resource, our Tipsheet on 2SLGBTQ+ Inclusion, provides guidance to system leaders, organizational leadership, managers and change champions within the youth-serving sector on how to meaningfully implement 2SLGBTQ+ inclusion.
These resources were created thanks to funding from the Sandbox Project.

In the spirit of reconciliation, Wisdom2Action acknowledges the land on which it was originally established as the traditional and unceded territory of the M’ikmaq, known as Mi’kmak’i (Nova Scotia). Our team is spread across Turtle Island (Canada) on the treaty lands of many First Nations. We recognize the people and the land in this way as part of our commitment to anti-oppression and decolonization. We are all treaty people.
