School Mental Health &
Suicide Prevention Guide

The Mental Health Commission of Canada and School Mental Health Ontario, in collaboration with Wisdom2Action, will host 4 youth consultations for grade 7-12 students in Canada. The consultations will inform the development of a new guide for educators on school mental health and suicide prevention.

The youth consultations will be facilitated from a strengths-based and trauma-informed approach. The intention is not to solicit specific stories or negative experiences, but to better understand the perspective, needs, and priorities of students in Canada on the topics of mental health, suicide prevention, and life promotion.  Participating young people will have the opportunity to freely answer all, some, or none of the questions, during the consultation.
