Ellena (she/her) is a communications intern with Wisdom2Action, based in Toronto, Ontario, on the traditional territory of the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation, the Haudenosaunee, the Anishinabe, and the Wendat peoples. Ellena is currently finishing her Bachelor’s degree in a double-major in Political Science and Communications & Media Studies at York University, with plans of pursuing graduate studies in public policy.
She is currently a peer mentor assisting first-year and mature students as they transition into university life. Ellena is passionate about social justice causes, particularly queer and gender justice, and hopes to impact policy that supports these efforts after her education is completed.
