Wisdom2Action (W2A) is a social enterprise and consulting firm specializing in community engagement, creative facilitation, research and evaluation, knowledge mobilization and equity, diversity and inclusion.
Wisdom2Action incorporated as a business with a social enterprise commitment in 2019, building on our legacy as a national knowledge mobilization network, founded in 2013, supporting youth serving organizations across Canada.
We are a proudly 2SLGBTQ+ owned and operated firm, with a deep commitment to anti-oppression and social justice informing every aspect of our work.
With our team of passionate and talented people, we work alongside our clients and partners to help them facilitate change and strengthen communities.
Wisdom2Action (W2A) was formed in 2011 and was originally known as the Children and Youth in Challenging Contexts Network. We began as a federally funded knowledge mobilization network tasked with helping the youth-serving sector better understand and implement evidence-based practices.
Through conferences, training and mentorship programs, as well as resource development and dissemination, we have helped nonprofit, health and social service organizations to better support the young people in their communities.
In 2018, we became a social enterprise with the intention of broadening our work to facilitate change and strengthen communities across Canada.
In the spirit of reconciliation, Wisdom2Action acknowledges the land on which it was originally established as the traditional and unceded territory of the M’ikmaq, known as Mi’kmak’i (Nova Scotia). Our team is spread across Turtle Island (Canada) on the treaty lands of many First Nations. We recognize the people and the land in this way as part of our commitment to anti-oppression and decolonization. We are all treaty people.
