Earlier this month, Lisa Lachance, founder and co-Principal Consultant with Wisdom2Action, was elected as the Member of Legislative Assembly in Nova Scotia for Halifax Citadel-Sable Island. We are immensely proud of and excited, for Lisa as she embarks on this new adventure.
We want to reassure our partners, clients and stakeholders that, while Lisa’s role within W2A is shifting, she will maintain an active presence within the organization, while abiding by the ethical requirements for business owners elected to office, as set out by the Nova Scotian legislature. While her role within our team will be reduced, and shift from operational to strategic, she will continue to guide our team with her expertise and brilliance as a Founder and Strategic Advisor. Lisa’s passion, values and expertise have fundamentally shaped Wisdom2Action – that cannot, and will not, change.
As Lisa transitions into her new role, our co-principal consultant, Fae Johnstone, will shift into an expanded role as our Executive Director. With her diverse skill set and proven track record of success with our clients and partners, demonstrated over her three years with Wisdom2Action, we know we’re in good hands. Dennis Stuebing will move from his current role as Senior Associate to the new role of Director during the next phase of W2A’s evolution. Dennis brings to the role numerous years of experience in project management, policy analysis and stakeholder engagement, as well a Doctorate in Global Studies focused on children’s rights and child protection. Over the coming weeks, Fae and Dennis will be reaching out to our partners, clients, and stakeholders to ensure a smooth transition. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us via our general inbox, info@wisdom2action.org.
All those who know Lisa, know that when they put their mind to something, little can stand in their way. And so, we have planned for this transition since Lisa first announced her intention to run for office. We have plans in place to minimize any disruption to client services and projects.
Wisdom2Action is more than the sum of its parts. We are thankful, now and always, for the trust and confidence placed in us by our partners and clients. We are a growing firm, always guided by our values. We are excited for the future, and to continue growing our reach and impact, facilitating change and strengthening communities.
Onwards and upwards.
In the spirit of reconciliation, Wisdom2Action acknowledges the land on which it was originally established as the traditional and unceded territory of the M’ikmaq, known as Mi’kmak’i (Nova Scotia). Our team is spread across Turtle Island (Canada) on the treaty lands of many First Nations. We recognize the people and the land in this way as part of our commitment to anti-oppression and decolonization. We are all treaty people.
